Our challenge was inheriting a 9,000 sq. ft. home that was already framed and being wired, and providing full specifications and drawings for the architect/contractor. Our design team was able to fully focus on this project to meet the required deadlines without sacrificing quality.

We selected, specified and detailed every part of the interiors, including a furniture inventory, layout and the procurement of the complete interior. A few existing items and accessory collections were incorporated into the new furnishings. Among many custom designed items we included are: the dining room chandelier, master jewelry cabinet, hobby room sliding storage and media cabinetry, along with all the other cabinetry. Custom faux finishes were designed throughout the house on both furniture and ceilings. All tile and stone patterns were designed to be unique. Materials used ranged from stainless steel, to basket weave glass tile, a slashing stripe of glass and tile, and numerous finish and accessory special details. We also procured custom bedding, draperies and custom rugs.

To stay on the cutting edge of technology, we incorporated the Crestron Home Automation and Sound System, recessed electric shades, heated floors in the bathrooms, special art lighting and high tech cabinet hardware. The handrails, stairs and doorways all meet required residential codes, but will easily convert to handicap accessible, if needed.

Our Client desired a high-quality contemporary, elegant-yet-comfortable, home that was practical for pets and grandchildren and open for entertaining. We worked with the Client’s favorite colors: warm organic tones of bronze and chocolate to cream–with amber, copper, spice, and olive tones. The result was a timeless contemporary custom home.
